This past weekend my wife and I were babysitting our youngest granddaughter and we decided to take a trip to the zoo. The below slideshow contains 15 of the images captured while there . . . 

Annie and I went out yesterday (Friday) morning and visited several sights in and around the Kansas City area. We first stopped at Unity Village where the sky was almost cloud free, the roses were in bloom, the fountains were on and the wind was blowing. Annie got out of the car and looked at me; I saw her reflection on the roof of the car and her hair blowing in the wind. She reluctantly stood there while I took her picture . . . she almost always takes a good picture but her hair blowing in the wind and the reflection just added something to the picture. The first 11 images were all captured at Unity Village. We then went to downtown KC where the balance of the displayed images were captured.

What a beautiful Saturday; not too hot and not too cold! The wife and I went out to Longview Community College where the College was sponsoring their annual Flights of Fancy event. This event features colorful mega kite displays by the Great American Kites & Events and members of the KC Kite Club on the Longview campus. It's purported to be the only event of it's kind in the region. Enjoy a few of the photos I took at the event . . . .
