I’m not what you would call an aficionado of artists or art from the Impressionists era including the works of Vincent Van Gogh. My boat doesn’t float in those waters but my wife, on the other hand loves art from that era to include Van Gogh. Consequently, she purchased 2 tickets for the Vincent Van Gogh Alive production in Kansas City, hosted at Starlight Theater. We went to the show on Tuesday evening and was I impressed. The 45-minute presentation was mind blowing, not only because of the images, but because of the presentation. If you have the opportunity to go, you might want to consider doing so . . . .
Enjoy a number of images captured during that show . . .

The Ol' Marais River Run, an Ottawa classic for a generation, occurred last weekend. Annie & I were there for the event. The first River Run car show was held in 1986 with about 150 participants. The 2021 event featured over 2,000 cars and thousands of guests. The event was canceled last year due to the pandemic.
On Saturday evening, once 6 o’clock rolled around, the engines start rolling for the Back to the 60s Cruise Night. Every vehicle featured was from 1972 or earlier. We attended this event as well as spending a few hours in Forest Park where the cars were on display. Probably the biggest and best car show we have ever attended (this was the 3rd year that we attended this annual event). We took over 700 photos; enjoy the 100 or so that are pictured below.

When in Phoenix – Part II
There are plenty of sights in the Phoenix area to occupy any free time you may have while visiting there. I detailed Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West in Part I. In this blog post I am including some photos taken at the Heard Museum. This is another wonderful tourist attraction that you should not miss if you have any interest in art. The images are not available for sale or download as the art is all copyrighted. Enjoy . . . . .
If you happen to be in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area with a few hours to spare, do not waste any time to schedule a visit at Frank Lloyd Wrights Winter Home, Taliesin West. For those of you interested in architecture or art, this is a must. A reservation is required. Below are just of few of the photos from the site . . . . .
Spent last weekend in Branson, MO just to get away from the Ground Hog Day environment we have been experiencing this Spring, Summer and Fall. While there, we took a day and made the 2 hour drive to Bentonville, AR where we visited both Crystal Bridges and The Momentary. This was our first visit to The Momentary and Annie and I were total impressed with what we saw. The Momentary is housed in a 63,000 square foot former Kraft manufacturing facility which was adaptively reused to create the Momentary facility. The Momentary is a contemporary art museum and event space and operates as a satellite of Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. The artwork being displayed is the product of Nick Cave, American fabric sculptor, dancer, and performance artist from Fulton, MO.
