My wife and I had the opportunity to keep our newest Grandchild for 4 days/nights . . . what a Treat! She was supposed to go to day care but Grandpa decided to keep her home and hire her as a model to work in his impromptu photo studio at home. We had a blast; Gretta visited a wild animal kingdom, directed a musical group from her perch in a basket and had a great time playing. The below slide show includes some of my favorite images . . .

Finally, the weather in KC is beginning to suggest that Spring is around the corner. Yesterday, we went out for a walk without coats and the day before I went to Powell Gardens and captured a number of photos of the Blue Morpho butterflies there were on exhibit at the Botanical Gardens.

Had a wonderful opportunity to watch a movie about the 'Wild Horses of Sable Island' and listen to Film Maker & Photographer Roberto Dutesco who photographed and filmed the animals over six visits to Sable Island which is off the coast of Nova Scotia. The film and Roberto were very educational and entertaining. It was amazing how he could approach the wild horses without much concern from the animals. If this subject is something that interest you, please visit his web site @ www.dutescoart.com. This event was held at the Museum @ Prairiefire and after the event he had a book signing for those who purchased his 344 page photo book of this project. My wife, of course, purchased a book. The photo below depicts Annie and Roberto Dutesco.

I use Lightroom cc in my post processing and I continually strive to learn more about the application. I had the opportunity to watch a series of videos on Lightroom 5 by Scott Kelby. I wanted to share some of what I learned in one of those videos. That subject is the 'Print' Module. Although this section will print, it does far more than just print. One of the features of that Module lets the user create templates for one or multiple photos to put on one piece of photo paper. If you use Lightroom 5 in your post processing and haven't explored the 'Print' Module, I would encourage you to do so. I think these templates are better suited for large, poster type prints. Below are a few examples of what I have done in the Print Module.
Haven' had an opportunity to post for a few weeks because my mother passed away on New Year' Eve back in Pennsylvania. Consequently, I am now posting a few night images, mostly taken from around the Crown Center Complex just before Christmas. Hope you all enjoy the images . . .
